OVERVIEW
Over the last 2 years, it has been tough for leaders to create sustainable engagement, performance and retention in their teams.
The impact of COVID has created the perfect storm within organisations - uncertainty in the future, continual change, unable to make the choices you want and feeling powerless to take control has shaken the engagement of teams.
This has resulted in skeleton staff over-working themselves, a drop in motivation, an increase in turnover, a fragility of robustness and, in some cases, a negative undercurrent emerging in the culture.
Leaders are doing what they can to support their staff and, despite becoming exhausted and overloaded themselves, are still struggling to lift and sustain the team's output, engagement and retention.
The key to 're-engagement' is for leaders to help their team turn strain and setbacks into energy and enthusiasm. The reality is, however, that leaders need to do more than manage processes and operations, and widen their understanding of human behaviour if they want to create a high performing team.
Leaders need to understand the psychology of engagement so they can draw out their team's motivation - without being their cheer squad. Leaders need to know how pressure impacts drive and be able to use the principles of resilience to sustain high performance. Leaders need to master emotional intelligence so they can create loyalty, trust and retention within their team.
When leaders create a Pressure Proof culture, they help their team to step up, lean in, switch on and stick around.
THE PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The High Performance Leadership Mastermind Group mentors leaders on how to use specific leadership and behavioural strategies to create a pressure proof culture & resilient workforce.
A Pressure Proof culture performs at their best even when conditions are at their worst. They are able to ride the setbacks, deal with challenges and adapt to changes whilst remaining self-motivated, personally productive and in-balance.
The program is about leadership growth, so you will be stretched outside your comfort zone to try new ideas, consider new perspectives and approach situations in ways that may not be your natural style.
The program focuses on implementation, so you will be encouraged (and gently pushed) to implement the ideas and strategies you gain from each session. This is an interactive, lean in and get involved type of program. It is not a 'sit back, listen passively and then contemplate doing something' type of program.
The program's emphasis is on drawing out high performance behaviours from each team member. This is not a wellbeing program, nor is it about stress management, work-life balance or mental health. We use resilience strategies to build the high performance capacity in your team, and within yourself.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF:
* You are a people leader or manager in an organisation
* You are committed to attending the sessions
* You are open to feedback
* You are passionate about creating a culture
* You are willing to put the principles into action
* You are motivated by improvement
THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
* You have been 'told' to do this program
* You aren't prepared to put the work in
* You are not open to new ideas or taking on feedback
* You are expecting a quick-fix solution
* You don't have a team to manage and lead
* One of your priorities is not people development
THE PROGRAM DETAIL
After a successful interview, you will complete a leadership self assessment to highlight your leadership goals, strengths and growth areas.
Each month, you will receive:
* Interactive masterclass: In the first part of this session, Michael will unpack leadership principles and resilience behaviours that you will be prompted to integrate with your own team. Michael will then conduct a group mentoring session prompting participants to explore how they can apply the principle and work through some solutions to any barriers/obstacles to implementation. These sessions are interactive, engaging and practical and will be conducted via Zoom. Each session is recorded and made available to you if you are unable to attend the live session.
* Pressure Proof Resource Centre: We have converted 35+ Pressure Proof principles into a series of bite-sized (5-15 minutes) video tutorials that are stored in an online resource centre. Each video tutorial is accompanied by an action sheet and a discussion point. You can quickly absorb the resilience curriculum by watching individual video tutorials from any device at any time.
* Expert interviews: Each month, Michael records an interview with an expert in the field of high performance and makes it available to you. The interviews cover topics such as positive mindset, creating motivation, building engagement, emotional intelligence, conversational strategies, personal management and more. The interview will be in audio and video format, and you will have access to it for the duration of the program.
* 1-1 Mentoring calls: You receive a monthly mentoring call where Michael provides you with specific feedback on the strategies to apply to your team. You will review what is working (and what is not working), you will discuss the challenges to implementation and problem solve how to overcome them, and you will talk through your leadership growth pathway and next focus areas. The mentoring sessions can be conducted over the phone or on Zoom and are not recorded.
* 1-1 Snap call: At any point during the month, you can book a 10-minute slot if you feel you need some quick feedback on an issue or a sounding board to air your thinking. These calls can be booked at any stage.
* Email Support: There is unlimited email support for your questions or feedback requests.
* Accountability board: Each month you will self-select your 30-day actionable goal that will be listed on a communal document (like a Google Doc) that is only accessible to the mastermind members. Having visibility of your goals and action steps creates an extra motivation to implement your initiatives - and not just talk about them.
THE PROGRAM DATES AND COST
The masterclass runs on the first Tuesday of each month, starting at 11.00am AEDT (Victoria, Australia time).
The cost is $500 + GST per month, per leader. You are not tied into any contracts, so you can leave the program at any stage. We only want you to stay in the program if you are getting great value and you are committed to being there.
